california girl rushing but want southern sorority
by: southern wannabeI'm from California and going through rush. I don't want to be put in a particular sorority just because of where i grew up. Can a California girl get into one of the Southern Sororities?

Why do you want a “southern” house, what does that mean to you, and what are your perceived benefits?
If your goal is to become “socially acceptable in Mountainbrook” - then It’s KD (and that may be a tough bid) or KKG (a bit easier but it will take a lot of effort to get “in” with the MB clique).
If you want to be around southern, fundamental Christians - then it’s AGD (easy to get in with the right attitude) or AXO. You can tag XO onto this list to some extent.
Other than that - the amount of “southern” in any given house is kind of similar - generally “suburban” with the majority of girls from southern states. Yea, there are variations to the theme - but if your goal is “southern” the rest tend not to be all that different. \n\n\n\n\n
