PKT=Kappa, chi o, kd?

by:

I’m from Texas were pkt (pi phi, kappa, theta) is very popular and each have different reputations but all kinda attract the same girls from the same areas. Is there an equivalent of that at Alabama? I guess my only comparison of that would be kappa chi o and kd which a lot of Texas girls go.

The old time top at AL (PKT equivalent) was “first circle” - KD, DDD and AGD. But KKG came on pretty strong and over time, it became more “old row” - KD, DDD, AGD, KKG, XO and AXO. Then PM got added to “old row” sometime in the 80s or 90s.

As more and more girls come from oos, no one really cares about old row and all that anymore.Even alabama girls are heading more to new row such as zta, pi phi, even dz.It's outdated.

History is great, but times have changed. There are so many schools in the South where pi phi, kappa, and theta don't hold weight like that. Choose your sorority by where you fit and for the sorority that wants you. Don't come to Bama thinking what might be great back home correlates to what is great at Bama.
