Why pref evening tradition canceled

So bama has always been based on tradition and had a really neat rush! Why in the world would they do away with evening or sunset pref round with candles on the lawn or however it went. Whyyyy that is such a neat tradition to be done away with. That would make me want to rush just to see it and it had to be so special!
