Absolute worse label, and incorrect anyway. Being in the house doesn’t help you. YOU help you, no matter the house. And if you say, “oh but being an alpha chi gets you more involved,” (since you live on this website and you’ll answer) then you are admitting your older members choose your sisters for a group on campus despite actual merit of others applying for the spot.

That seems to be projecting some bitterness on your part. The reality is that the people you surround yourself with will influence you, encourage you, and expose you to what they are involved in, for better things or worse. Sure, YOU help you, but being in a peer group with like-minded people can lift you up and help you along the way.

I’ve seen that too on this site and I really disagree. In my opinion, Alpha chi is not like overtly old southern, exclusive, wealthy vibes at all. Its mostly just smart sweet girls, like the kinda that don’t really have any drama and are maybe little boring sometimes. Its not cliquey like a lot of the other old row houses and easy to make friends in as long as you’re relatively classy/smart/nice.
