SERIOUSLY Alpha Phi???
by: wow
You had 443 members at the end of fall semester. Then you added 16 new cob members in spring (more cobs than any house) and now you only have 414? Your 16 new cob members have a gpa of 2.35? SERIOUSLY? That means 45 dropped after fall and your 16 spring cobs had an AVERAGE gpa of 2.35?
Embarrassing.

Pnms should be careful if they do choose aphi - you want a house that will support you in all aspects of your life. You can lose scholarships if you have one, be limited on internships, and just over be looked down on. Think of yourself and what you want - I believe a house should be for 4 years not for freshman fall

I know two girls dropping aphi for the fall. They just said they weren’t getting their money’s worth anymore - exec acted crazy( they told me some stories but I don’t understand completely they were mostly talking to each other and their moms about that part) - girls bringing ex boyfriends to date parties - bullying - and their rep on campus .

How about some facts based on the reports from the admin of UA?
Based on 2023 spring retention to fall 2023 and fall 2023 to winter 2024.
The groups with exceptional retention are: XO and KD. They only lost 1.5% of their total over the breaks.
The groups at the lower end of the scale (largest % loss to least) are:
GPB, AOII, KAT, ADII
Those are the facts.
SK was not included because that would not be fair.

We can go over and over this . Alpha phi had one of the smaller member numbers because they have a high number of girls drop. This is a fact. They have the largest number of cobs again it’s a fact. You can’t argue facts. However at this point I think aphi as a whole is cool with it because they seem to not mind the drops or low grades for that matter. So they will continue to be them but I would just say if you are a pnm think about what you actually want for your sorority experience
