It’s not so much the grades for me as it is the large turnover every year. That speaks volumes about that house.

unfortunately large turnover year after year means more issues than just their continued low GPAs.

It was just a few girls not whole grade it wasn’t really a scandal because girls in every sorority feel that way as they get older and want more independence. The reason why it was know was because of a tik tok . Agd has one of the larger sisterhoods with 479 members . And they don’t have to cob. They hold onto their girls for the 4 years .

for the stupid people who only know what they read on gr, and trying to justify what they think they know, follow-up to the agd senior who was kicked out over a year ago and was pissed about it on tt is that agd must have had a great year. looks like they retained their members, got top grades, and won chapter of the year again.

just let aphi do what they do too. i doubt any of the selective houses are rushing the same pnms that aphi takes. this is fine since pnms who might be cut for different reasons especially grades still have a chance to join a house. not all pnms are looking for the same thing either and aphi gives some girls hope for a snap or cob bid.

APhi gave out 30 cob bids in spring 2023 after having to take a huge nm class that fall (204) trying to hit campus chapter total. Obviously your faulty math doesn't account for members being replaced rather than retained.

I did not focus on any one sorority. But the groups who reported the most new members in the spring of 2023 were:
GPB, DZ, APhi.

It seems there are some people on this site who are targeting individual sororities for some unknown reasons.

In reality there are a range of things that go on in a range of groups.

Facts:
Aphi took 30
DZ took 13
Gphi took 11

Aphi took 30 having already taken 204 in fall trying to get to campus total. They replaced way over half their membership in 2 semesters and still couldn't hit campus total. That is not retention it's continual replacement of continual drops.

They can't afford to be very selective since they need members, which is why they just took nms with a gpa of 2.35.

You draw conclusions that you want to draw.

All sororities take large new member classes in the fall. How many years do you want to go back? All sororities replace 50% of their memberships in two years because that is how many two classes of seniors graduating will add up to. Each senior class is about 25% of each group. Two years of stats is 50%.

It seems you can not be objective. You have a bias against one particular sorority - probably for some personal reason.

APhi replaced way over half their membership in 2 SEMESTERS, not years. You need to reread and check your facts.

Fall to Winter retention? No, there is no statistic for that, it's Fall to Spring but without the Spring report yet that info is not available.

So your problem is that you want to post on this site to try to affect APhi recruitment for the fall. Ok. If you are being paid to do this on a Sunday then you will still have a couple of months to go before recruitment.

For the record the sororities that are in the lowest 25% in terms of overall size at this time are:

SK, KAT, GPB, ADII

As to the gpa issue, well it appears some sororities are verge of the status of academic club. Several have very high gpa with an A status:

AGD, AXO, XO

Potential new members need to know about this too because they need to know what will be expected of them in these houses.

No one is even mentioning another sorority. They are just calling out the numbers. Their numbers are facts.

Overall size is not the issue.

APhi maintains its numbers with tons of COB's to replace their tons of drops. It's a constant cycle. Their membership is a revolving door of warm bodies instead of maintaining a chapter membership with the same people.

It is easy to see this from the reports. Fall of 2022 APhi took 204 new members. That's way out of proportion to any other house, taking around 50 fall COB's to get to 442 total members. Then the following spring they COB'd 30 more to have a total membership of 414. Again, way out of proportion to any other house. So their total size looks fine but it's only because of REPLACING rather than RETAINING.

They were at 443 for fall 2023, so let's see what the numbers say for them when spring 2024 comes out.
