Why are some ppl so against Greek life?

My hs friends were the same way. I’m from the north though so Greek life isn’t the same. Many go to schools with no Greek life at all. All the usual reasons: paying for friends, hazing worries, worries of pettiness (if they read this site they have proof of how toxic it is), stereotypes of just party kids I am sticking it out for the 4 years but to be honest I only really liked freshmen year. Sorority life is like if you went to an all girl private school iykyk
