curious about kd

KD gets who KD wants. They are considered a top house and anyone who say they aren’t is lying. They get pretty much whoever they want from MB, Fairhope, etc. A fourth of their pledge class will be from 2-3 Alabama high schools typically.

They don’t pledge very strong from other Alabama schools or out of state. They get more the MB wannabes, mean girls or the ones whose life mission is to try to be “popular” from the other Alabama schools. They also lose the MB girls who don’t want to relive high school. Some out of state girls fit in but many who pledge feel left out or not in the “cool” crowd. They aren’t a very diverse house.

Basically they are a fit for some but not for many.

This is not meant to sound rude toward you or kd, but if you’re having to go on greekrank to learn about them then you’re probably going to have a very hard to time getting a bid. KD is a top house, but notoriously cliquey and only take girls they know. You’ll read on GR that they’ve “fallen” or wtvr because they haven’t taken “top” pnms, but in actuality they just only focus on girls they’ve been rushing since October the year before and cut nearly everyone else. That doesn’t mean they get better girls or anything, just that it’s extremely difficult to get a bid if you come into rush with no connections. This goes for kappa as well and these houses can be a lot harder for girls to find their place in.

Other old row houses with similar vibes that might be better fit if you’re coming into rush with no prior knowledge would be Tri Delt, AXO, AGD, or maybe Chi O. If you go new row, you’d probably have a good experience in Adpi or zeta.

kd is amazing. has so much fun and supports great causes but also is less strict on rules vs others sororities. but kd is picky so keep ur gpa up and keep ur socials clean
