What they are looking for

It’s been said here before…but needs to be said again. The houses all recruit different types of girls so they really can’t be compared to one another.

Here’s a breakdown of what the houses are looking for (alphabetical)

AXO - good grades, involvement (especially bama cheerleaders and Crimsonettes), pageant types, religious, overachiever type, local to AL and Southeast mainly

ADPi - grades, involvement, girl next door type, more of a girl’s girl which contributes to them being known for a good sisterhood. I would say 50/50 Southern vs OOR.

AGD - grades, religious, involvement, class president types. Known for winning campus awards and usually top in grades. Mainly southern.

AOPi - involvement, low key/low drama girls. They are involved on campus but keep to themselves. Decent grades, fun girls but not crazy partiers. I would say a lot of OOS and OOR

APhi - Social media/ image type, more looks focused, less focus on grades. Less focus on campus involvement. Like to go out and like to hang out with the fraternity guys. Mainly OOR girls who like to look good and have fun.

XO - involvement and grades, with a girl next door vibe. Involved on campus. Has had a lot of past SGA presidents and homecoming queens. Mostly in state and southeastern girls.

DG - good grades, more quirky and artsy girls. Drama club/horse girl type. Fun, low drama. Known for good sisterhood and are also pretty involved. They have a lot of OOR girls.

DZ - laid back, not as focused on grades. Like to have fun and party. Mix of different types of girls. An eclectic group. Has some southern girls and a lot of OOR members.

GPHi - social media type, less conservative like jersey style. Like to go out and go to frat parties, not as focused on grades and involvement. Similar to APhi. Mainly OOR girls.

KAT - laid back, low drama girls. Mix of different types, pretty eclectic. Medium focus on grades Mostly OOS and OOR girls.

KD - cliquish, pretty involved on campus, medium on grades. Focus on legacies and girls from certain schools in Mobile, Montgomery and Birmingham. Then other southeastern areas.

KKG - laid back, very cliquish. Like to go out. Medium focus on involvement and grades. like to focus on Mobile, Montgomery and Birmingham girls, then other southeastern cities like Atlanta, New Orleans, Dallas

Phi Mu - looks, involvement and grades. Small town pageant type. They also like bama cheerleaders and Cromsonettes. Mainly blondes. Stay away from the influencer social media type usually. I would say 70% southern and 30% OOR .

Pi Beta Phi - involvement, grades, some social media type girls. Laid back cool girls. Like to go out but also still keep up with grades. 50/50 southern vs OOR.

SK - they are new so I’d say looking for girls who want to help continue to build the house and sisterhood. Opportunity to get involved. Mainly OOS and OOR girls.

ZTA - social media/image type. Low focus on grades, medium focus on involvement. Like the fraternities and athletes on campus. Pretty and some pageant types. Mix of southern and OOR girls. \n\n\n\n\n
