Literally look at the website. Pi phi and dg aren’t on the list. There are just 4 listed.

piphi asked to be taken off the intial list eventhough they are eligible because they are not going participate.

this is a pr campaign because piphi thinks cob eligibility is an embarrassment.

What you are saying doesn’t make sense. For dz and gphi, they are not eligible -they are two of 4 sororities with the lowest member total then how can pi phi be eligible when they have so many more members and the drops at dz and gphi on another post were greater. Dz and gphi didn’t get a substantial amount more of new members.

Pi phi and DG were both on the original list posted and then it was updated. People saw it which is why they are talking about it.

The list said eligible to COB and not these chapters are participating in COB. There were 4 sororities listed. Yes they don’t have to cob but they were eligible if they wanted to. I thought the list was p jective based on math and not subjective as on that the chapters could choose or not choose to be on the list.

No, that is just wording. It is not a list of all the houses that are below Total and doesn't mean other chapters aren't 'eligible' as well. But it would not be fair to lead on pnm's to think that certain sororities were still looking for members or to open up those chapters to have to deal with the inquiries and tell pnm's sorry.

This discussion is about post primary recruitment August 2023 - not the spring of 2023.

APhi and Zeta, among others, participated in the Spring.

Out of those three only Piphi is eligible in the Fall of 2023 - after primary recruitment.

It is not embarrassing. Just own it and move on.

Yes, both have already given at least one COB since Sunday.

That is called a snap bid and happens within the 1st few days of formal recruitment. Those new members are counted as part of the new class. So if this is true Piphi's official new member class includes this snap bid. It is not cob and panhel would never count it as such.

Being eligible to cob is not an embarrassment. It is an opportunity.

False. Snap bids can only be given before bids are opened and only to reach quota. COB begins after bids are opened and can be used to reach average chapter total.

Good for any houses who may have given COB bids this week and reached total already.
