Panhellenic has announced the chapters eligible for COB. Just bc they are eligible, doesn't mean they will participate. But if anyone wants to go greek, you can! From Panhellenic:
The following chapters were eligible for Continuous Open Bidding (COB)
following the conclusion of Panhellenic Primary Recruitment 2023:
Alpha Omicron Pi
Alpha Delta Pi
Delta Gamma
Kappa Alpha Theta
Pi Beta Phi
Sigma Kappa

Exactly. If you made quota, still have membership room for a couple of more members AND know some great girls that dropped out of formal recruitment or just didn't go through it, why not offer COB bids?
This post and the comments are stupid. AOpi and Theta got GREAT new member classes. Other NR should be worried.

When the COB list was first posted yesterday both DG and Pi Phi were on it. Then they updated the list and took them off. So it’s caused confusion.

Apparently embarrassed enough to take their name of the list.
Being on the cob list is not embarrassing.

Both PiPhi and APhi participated in COB this week. I know two girls that received a COB bid this week, one from PiPhi and one from APhi. It is possible the only needed a few to reach total, have reached their number and have asked to have their names removed. However, I guarantee they both did COB!

Those are known as snap bids immediately after rush. Apparently KD and KKG have done this in recent years.
PiPhi is embarrassed and is trying to change the narrative.
At least Zeta and Aphi owned it when they were on the list.

So, you're saying after Bid Day, you know for a fact that both Aphi and PiPhi gave COB bids to at least one girl each? Not that they did snap bids before bid day?

Yes! Both PiPhi and APhi gave out at least one COB bid each. It was definitely a COB, not a snap bid.

No. They did not give out cob bids this week.
This is a pathetic attempt to deflect attention from the fact that piphi is eligible for cob. They do not want to do it so they asked panhellenic to take them off the list.
And why not try to hit Aphi again in the process? Might as well....flip a coin...it could have been Zeta again.

DZ nor Gphi did better than ADPi. Actually, I’m not sure they did better than SK or Theta.

Have you actually seen Gphi’s new member class?? It’s pretty rough and considering they’re known for taking grade risks as well, I highly doubt they will end up passing Adpi. I haven’t seen many from DZ yet and they do tend to take less risks with grades so maybe.

Are you looking at the same pledge as me, because they look like they have lots of pretty girls? The 3 girls I know that went GPhi are super cute.
ADPi & DZ seem to have good pledge classes, too, but no reason to throw shade at GPhi when it doesn’t seem accurate.
Almost all sororities took girls that don’t fit the unrealistic beauty queen standard, and good for them!

DZ did get some really cute girls. But I agree with the original comment above about Gphi. 3 cute ones doesn’t qualify as a cute PNM class and, given their grades, it’s going to take a while for them to move up.

And just because a house is under Total doesn't mean that they are open to whoever reaching out to them. Often there are only a few spots, less than 10, and a sorority either knows who they want and will just offer those bids, or feels that it's more trouble than it's worth for a few extra new members.
