AGD downs syndrome

by: Agd

So one year on from AGD taking a girl with down syndrome, what's the verdict? Were they genuine with it and kept her involved? Were they as open minded this year?

How does someone with DS even enroll as a full time student at Alabama? I could see a person with DS being able to take one or two college level classes. This seems like tokenism and patronizing, if this is even true.

Why do you think there's a 'verdict' in question or that you are deserving in any way of a follow up?

This whole page is just people giving their verdicts and rankings be for real

Panhellenic partnered with Crossing Points, which is a program for students with intellectual disabilities that provides a college experience. She wanted to go through rush and I think already wanted to be an AGD. Yes AGD mentored her.

There have been quite a few people with Down Syndrome join sororities in the past (not at Bama, just in general in the US). I think it's great!

If you actually want to know more about inclusion, ask last year's SGA Vice President for Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion. She's an AGD.
