AXO keeps all their girls because they actually have fun and sweet lol, all the girls who dropped AXO was due to financial reasons, etc. I’ve never met one that dropped bc they didn’t like it

The houses with more out of state members have slightly lower retention but that is completely understandable. I’d rather be in a house with more geographic diversity - but it does generally mean that there will be more drops

DG has a very high retention rate (if this is accurate) and appears to have a significant number of OOS members.

DG and AOPi are HUGE OOS houses and they’re in the top for retention… this is not true.

Many of the big OOS houses (esp APhi and KAT) had lots of drops mostly for financial reasons. Keep in mind that old row southern girls often have families who have the money to pay thousands a semester for a sorority. That’s not the norm in most places, so many OOS girls can’t maintain membership for four years. It really sucks to hear, but lots of girls love their sorority and just can’t continue to pay for it. It doesn’t mean the sisterhood is bad or a waste of money!

In your narrative why do the other nr houses with lots of oor members have way better retention numbers?

What do you consider a BIG oos house? The 2 houses you are referring to are SMALL chapters compared to the other houses. And these houses can keep their members and are in reality bigger than Aphi and KAT in total.

I have a feeling AOPi keeps bumping this thread.

Another issue - that is timely - what are the numbers that returned to campus for this fall? If some groups lost a lot between fall 2021 and spring 2022 but had a huge percent return for fall 2022 then the number situation may be entirely different than is depicted above.

If, for instance, APhi or Theta lost a lot of seniors at the end of fall 2021 then probably they didn't lose as many as other houses at spring graduation.

The data above is old news.

Do you have some magic spreadsheet? This is what was available online…we don’t all have access to panhel numbers. They won’t release those until end of semester. This IS relevant because it’s the most recent data available.

20 or less seems normal tbh. Some girls drop but some also graduate at semester, transfer, etc. 20+ would make me wonder what’s going on in that house.
