I've seen posts saying houses that prefer in state girls will have people they know from highschool but also camp. What camps do they go to?

Camps are more of a thing at UT Austin (I think)

camps are not so much a thing here. i’ve heard it being a thing at Texas and a few other colleges both in the north and south

Camp Skyline in Mentone. Basically, any expensive summer camp.

For out of state camps, any of the big Texas camps (Waldemar, Mystic, Longhorn, etc) although not a ton of those girls come to UA. We get more from the big NC camps, Merrie-Woode, Greystone, Merri-Mac, sometimes Ilahee. JH ranch in California but that’s a little different. Like anything else though it’s not an automatic bid.

Camps are a big thing at UTK as well. Lots of Young Life camps and other summer camps. All great programs!

Merrie Woode girls are big, most go kappa or kd but I know two went tri delt
