do sororities offer payment plans?

I really want to join a sorority but the dues kind of scared me. Are there payment plans that I could do to pay them off over a longer period of time?

on the sorority. Most have payment plans, but they're ten month plans, eight month plans, etc. You'll still pay the full amount during the year, just in smaller amounts less spaced out

And one more- I heard different sororities have grants and scholarships and such. Is that true?

Yes, but you have to be an initiated member to qualify. Some of those grants are one-time grants...some are just loans...every sorority does things differently.
Think very carefully about this. If you are having to work to fund school AND sorority, what would you do if you lost your job?

I work and pay for my sorority. Actually, my parents pay for it and I pay them back on our own payment plan I arranged with them. It's hard, but so worth it if you can do it. And your sorority finance person can advise you on paying your dues individually if you have extenuating circumstances and can't afford them all at once.

kappa kappa gamma prides itself on being a sorority that all women can afford. they have the best payment plan and the most grants. they believe that all women should have the opportunity to join a sorority regardless of monetary boundaries. KAPPAS IT!

Sorority life costs more than just dues. there are t shirts and charitable donations, mandatory events that cost money. you have to be prepared for 10-20% over the cost of membership when budgeting. even with scholarships - which are not that large - greek life is expensive.

Some houses don't make you pay for social events; their events are included in your dues. Go for houses that will tell you during recruitment that all the expenses come with your dues. And honestly, you prob don't need 500 t-shirts, so it won't go much over that at all

I just started college in the fall and was initiated in a sorority. I have decided that the college i was accepted to is no longer a good fit for me and have decided to transfer to another college for the Spring semester. Am I obligated to pay the Spring semester dues for the Sorority even though I am transferring?
