by: xoReading here it sounds like loads of girls are being released from rush completely at different stages, but isn't it only around 100 girls altogether who don't end up with houses? is the site just over representing people who are released because they want to come and talk about it?

“ reading here” was your first mistake. Nothing on this website can be taken seriously without receipts. I could say 50% of girls have been released and not only that but XO promised everyone pnm who ranked them first a puppy. Just because some people are posting that they’ve been released doesn’t mean they even go to this school.

I did mean released, I've seen a lot of people saying they were. I guess people dropping might muddy the water if they say they got dropped everywhere but actually they had houses left they don't like

Every year girls say they’re dropped by everyone bc that’s somehow better than being a brat and leaving bc they only had “bottom” houses left.
Hard to believe that with SK and SDT that anyone is being released by all the chapters unless they were a major grade or rep risk.

The sad thing is that these girls could fit into the chapter just fine.
I'm sorry but "bottom tier" houses have some of the most wonderful girls in terms of being good people who are inclusive. The reason they are "bottom tier" is because their chapter is more inclusive (less selective) than other chapters. They are not dropping girls based on their zip codes or last names or legacy status.
Unfortunately that is not celebrated even though it makes for a good sisterhood.
But this myth that girls wouldn't "fit in" at these houses is just a way of trying to be nice about the fact that these girls think they are better than those women. That's the uncomfortable truth that they don't want to admit.
Because honestly, "bottom tier" houses are the most inclusive on this campus. They care less about superficial stuff. They have to in order to survive and that's also what keeps them "bottom tier" in the dumb popularity rankings.
(Keep in mind I'm not saying that houses that are more popular aren't inclusive. That depends on the house.)

Very unlikely to be completely released considering SDT would need to invite back so many girls each round. This isn’t a dig at them, it’s just a fact. The numbers show that if other chapters have more PNMs ranking them higher and have full schedules, SDT will be dropped off their lists, and SDT will have fewer PNMs. I’ll be curious to see how many are in their pref parties.

If girls admit that they dropped themselves when they had houses left, they're not going to get sympathy. They're going to get people telling them that they did this to themselves when there was a house that did want them, which is true.
So I'm convinced they're doing it for sympathy. But they know the truth and have to live with it.
