Greek system is corrupt and works against God
by: CorruptThis rush process is brutal and so beyond corrupt. If you aren’t absolutely heartbroken about cutting a great girl bc she’s not pretty or skinny or wealthy/connected enough, I don’t know how you live with yourself. Excluding girls based mostly on factors they cannot help is just the most awful thing. I have seen the kindest most genuine girls be cut from nearly every sorority bc they don’t fit the mold and on here they are told it’s bc they “only have a 3.8 GPA” or something stupid like that. How these organizations can claim to support a Christian lifestyle while happily excluding girls left and right I have no idea. It’s just all so evil and horrible. There is something deeply wrong with these exclusionary organizations. These organizations that strip girls down of their personality and their character and leave only the surface level of attractiveness and arbitrary connections cannot call themselves Christian or a true “sisterhood”. Someone try to tell me I’m wrong or that this isn’t true; please explain how judging girls based on knowing them for 5 minutes a week is somehow not a wrong thing. I would even argue that these organizations work against the Kingdom of God. And sure you can tout the philanthropy aspect but that can be accomplished, and is being accomplished, through other inclusive organizations. I would even argue that it would be better because people could choose which philanthropy speaks to them.

It’s not corrupt bc it’s based off of grades, activities, recommendations, interviews...just like college and jobs are!! If some chapters are basing it off of looks fine but that’s on them. Don’t throw every member of panhel under a bus bc there’s a couple of shallow sallys

Employers absolutely care about what you’re wearing. That’s a huge part of an interview

Employers don’t care if you shoes are golden goose or your shorts are Koch. Think you missed the point. Of course they care that you look professional but they aren't label conscious.

They def could be the design and Fashion and business industries are all very label conscious

People want people who would fit into the sorority. How would you feel if you didn’t fit in with wealthy girls and were always left out on plans because you cant afford it? People tend to just gravitate towards people who are similar. I promiseee you it’s not personal

You don’t know at all anything about me. Actually as of this far I’ve gotten full cards to houses I enjoy. It’s the awful feeling of watching others around me being arbitrarily judged bc they don’t have as many good recs or aren’t from the right zip codes. I mean if you are trying to say it’s not corrupt then by all means tell me how. It’s not me who needs to grow up... and I think it’s corrupt as it is right now not saying it should be fully dismantled but just made different
