I doubt there will be cob this year. The pool is so much bigger than normal I think the houses will all have more than enough girls that they've already pref'd. And you usually won't be considered for cob if you dropped the house - only if they dropped you and now need to fill numbers.

like everything about this is wrong. you must not even go to school here or if you do you are not in a sorority. the pool is not as big as other years and you can get a cob bid even if you dropped. the only way you could have dropped a chapter is if all your first choices invite you back and none that you rank bump up into your invite list, so you wouldn't even ask about cob if you had so many options.

I feel like this is a troll because it just doesn't make sense to me when people say they dropped for family reasons. You've already spent money and put in a lot of effort to get to this point.. My friend's dad passed away near the end of rush '18 and she didn't quit. If you really wanted to be in a house you would've stuck it out at least until the end of the week.
IF in any case this is an actual pnm, wait until next fall to rush. If you cob you might miss out on some special events, and at least we might be back to "normal" contact rush next year.
