The TRUTH about Alpha Gam

Hey everyone, so I went alpha gam in 2017 and my little sister is going through rush currently. She does not want to go Alpha Gam and I don’t want her to based off my personal experience. My sister told me she has girls in her group that love AGD so I just thought it was important to post this, not because I hate them and want them to do poorly, I just wish someone had told me because maybe I would have chosen something else.
So I have since dropped because I didn’t fit in with the environment that AGD has created for themselves. I’m not the only one who feels this way either, AGD has one of the highest drop rates for an old row house.
In rush workshop (my sophomore year) our rush team and alums told us to say whatever lie to girls to make them feel special. They said if they’re a party girl, tell them we party. If they’re big into their religion, preach to them. We were also told to tell girl that were religious that Jesus came to us in a dream and said that they would be an Alpha Gam.
They also told us to tell girls that people in AXO, XO, PHI MU, etc. hate their sororities and have told us they wished they had gone AGD.
The whole thing made me so uncomfortable so I just wanted to warn y’all to look out for these tactics and lies and don’t listen to them. I wish I had someone looking out for me because I would have known that AGD wasn’t for me. Now I feel like I got robbed of my college experience because my house was full of alums and actives that were willing to throw out all morals just for rush.
If a house is having to lie to you to get them to go you.... that’s a major red flag!

this is 1000% true.. my old roommate (who is pretty but out of state) was hidden in the basement for almost every party a couple years ago she was so upset about it

Actually they do keep some girls in the basement. My year there was a girl I really wanted to talk to that I knew from high school and I couldn’t and I asked her about it later in the year. She dropped

Every house keeps girls in the basement... this is not something unique to AGD.

No house has all members on the floor at the same time since there are way too many. What a stupid post. The people posting stupid stuff here about houses weren't members of those houses. They were prob dropped and mad about it.

When I went through rush an AGD told me that Jesus told her I had to be an alpha gam.... they really are doing this and it’s so desperate and appalling

Actually, the Jesus in a dream is a well-known actual story from alpha gam. I don’t know if this poster was really an agd but I do know that they have controlling alumni and a ton of phony girls who present themselves as Christian and are as wild as anyone. These are mainly the agds NOT from Birmingham.
They also dirty rush and box pnms in at the house. That at least isn’t happening virtually. There are a lot of better choices if you want to party or if you want authenticity.
