what was the point of the actives in certain houses reaching out to me, adding me on every social media, calling me and getting close with me and all that just to drop me....?

just to build their social media presence, it’s nothing personal, a lot of times actives don’t know your gpa or recs when they follow you

First round cuts are pre-determined based on no rec / bad rec, reputation, and GPA cut-offs. Actives have NO IDEA who is on those lists unless they’re on rush committee. I know it’s hard, but first round cuts are {usually} not personal (unless it’s a reputation issue).

It’s just so they could get a ton of pnm’s to like them and see their house as desirable and make you feel wanted. Every house does it, they weren’t insta rushing you because you’re special and they wanted you lol
