Socials don’t matter

When everyone said that they weren’t kidding because everyone that rushed me on social media dropped me like a hot potato lol

Yep this is exactly why we tell pnm’s not to think that getting rushed on insta matters. Houses do it to a ton of girls to make them feel good about themselves and make the pnms fall in love with them and then you get dropped after the first day.

Another thing that happens is actives like your insta but know nothing about you. Past years girls had 200 comments on photos from actives and got dropped by all those houses because actives don’t know you gpa or if you have recs. Actives tends to not know that kind of thing until work week.

just a heads up, active members dont really have control on who gets dropped. Like 90% of the time we dont know if youre coming back to use until youre physcially in the house.

Because for starters most actives do not get to see your gpa ... there are also thousands of you so for you to think that a girl is taking the nonexistent time to ask a computer girl if you are coming back or not is a bit of a stretch. It’s pure chaos behind the scenes so whatever happens happens. It’s all based off of numbers in the computer system!!

Actives don’t know your gpa before rush because you aren’t sending it to every active. You are sending it to the house where girls who stay over the summer look at them. They aren’t looked at by the whole house until a week before rush.

I’m wondering the same thing. Who decides cuts then? Alums? Or just automatic GPA cuts? I’m super happy with the houses I got back, but I’m thinking about the rest of the week.

Do actives ever have a say? Does it depend on the house? Also, do recs matter at some point?

A lot of grade requirements are set by the sororities nationals and they are set in stone. If you don’t have the GPA, you’re automatically dropped and there is no fighting to get you back. It sucks because we miss out on some truly amazing girls but unfortunately that’s just the way it is.
