by: HelllloooJust wanted to make this post on here for the girls that got back 1-5 houses. You didn’t get dropped because your not pretty or cool or anything like that. Chances are you got dropped because of GPA recs etc... I just want y’all to know you aren’t alone and lots of people didn’t get houses they wanted back or a full party. Even if your roommate has a full party it’s not a normal thing to have and they just got lucky. At the end of the day you only need one house to love you not 13. Just remember that you will find a place even if it doesn’t seem like you will.

Why you got dropped is one or many of these things:
1. GPA wasn’t high enough
2. Not enough involvement in clubs, sports and community service in high school
3. Questionable reputation
4. Your appearance (I know this is hard to accept, but for some it’s the case)
5. Something on one of your recs raised a red flag. Some alums don’t always write glowing recs. Some are brutally honest about you, your family, your ability to pay dues, etc. I know it sucks, but that’s why you need to really feel out who writes your recs before you ask them to do it. No rec is better than a bad rec.
6. Someone already in the house knows you and recommended you be cut early on. Always be nice to girls in high school that are older than you.
7. Someone in another house knows you and reached out to other rush chairs warning them about you (sad, but it does happen).
