Please don’t be devastated. Your GPA did not make the recruitment cut off. It’s just the reality of the situation, virtual recruitment or not.
Focus on your grades this year and try to get involved in activities or volunteer. Keep your Insta going, but grades and activities are more important. Go through recruitment again next year and good luck!

Ik it feels pretty devastating I feel the same about some of the houses I loved but cut from. But I think it could have been different if you were able to meet them, I think a lot of the really harsh cuts are bc of the situation :(

i only got 5 back.... 3 of those are all houses i wanted to drop and i’m actually really upset because i was expecting more to invite me back because i had a good gpa, had 2 rec letters for EVERY SINGLE HOUSE.... and also was involved in 3 high school sports. i genuinely don’t know where i went wrong but i am so upset

You did nothing wrong. Rush is ridiculous this year and sorority members were crying because they had to cut girls they never even got to meet. No one is liking this year and if anyone was dropped by all the houses, please know that you could get picked back up later in the week or get a snap bid!!!

It is all about the gpa even with connections when recruitment is this competitive. Totally agree that best plan is to focus on raising your gpa this semester while reaching out to girls in friendly way in houses you have eye on, make new friends regardless whenever you can and remember nothing is normal about this recruitment anyway. Good luck!
