Sophomore bids?
by: !Panhellenic claims that they try and make it so upperclassmen have a better chance at getting a bid, and that the upperclassmen quota is different than the freshmen, but in reality is it easier/ more lenient for sophomores to get a bid or are the chances just the same as they would be if you were to go through as a freshmen

There are two separate quotas so you are in a different pool of candidates. This means that you don't have to compete with freshmen for bids, which would put you at an extreme disadvantage. So while you will be considered separately based on your being a soph, the chances are not necessarily better for a bid at any one house because you still have to be deemed a good fit for a sorority to want you back. Sorry but they won't keep you just to fill upperclassman quota; nobody really cares about that as much as filling freshman quota.

Also the two quotas are not determined until after pref when everyone has signed her card. Sororities only invite to pref the girls they could see as sisters, regardless of fresh or upperclassman. So you've got to make the cut first just like everyone else.
