by: yeahI think if an active isn’t on private and a pnm follows, the active should follow back. If an active chooses to only add/accept people they know, then they should be on private and decline pnm requests (instead of just accepting them as a follower and not reciprocating.)

as an active, I really disagree. Especially with really no open house round this year, first impressions are really based on social media. Not following back can very easily make a pnm feel that they aren't "good enough"/that a house is "stuck up". I really think every active member should be doing their best to showcase their house in a positive light. I follow back every girl with Bama 24 or something similar to it in her bio. However, if you're a pnm who doesn't have something about Bama in your bio, you should really add it as its fairly likely the reason you're not getting followed back is bc the active doesn't know/think you're attending Alabama.

you obviously just joined a sorority to drink all the time and be a stuck up b itch because anyone knows part of it is helping to rush and recruit girls.

You can’t tell someone else what to do with their insta. I don’t even follow everyone in my PC so why would I follow some random girl coming to bama? Not everyone wants to rush people via Instagram. Quit stalking members of houses and focus on being interesting during rush

THIS!!!! For the love. I don’t even follow everyone in my own house, let alone my PC, let alone some random girl with “bama 24” in her insta bio. I have things of more substance than to comment “so pretty!” On every random PNMs post that I see. It’s shallow and fake and a waste of my time. Especially if the PNM randomly found me? Like I don’t want to be followed that’s kinda creepy ngl.
Everyone on here is definitely a PNM and doesn’t understand, or they’re a first year active, or a ZETA who recruits off of insta looks only.
