by: Guest

what does it mean when you follow actives and they don’t follow you back? they’re not interested in getting to know you?

It’s really rude and unwelcoming for no reason? Like because you follow me back doesn’t mean you’re giving me a bid it wouldn’t kill you to just be kind and unfollow me later if you want

I think if houses are going to insist PNMs follow all of them on social media in order to not look rude, those houses/members should probably reciprocate??

Ok Idk if this question makes sense but say you rank house “x” 8th and another pnm ranks house “x” 1st. Say house “x” wants you a little more but would the house get the pnm who ranked them first

This thread isn’t a good look for PNM complaining.

Pnms are allowed to have opinions and it’s anonymous so it won’t hurt anyone’s chances chill out, actives always complain about pnms here too

actives always have something to say about PNMs but as soon as it’s the other way the PNMs are “ungrateful”

I agree I think PNM should be able to complain but no reason to be anonymous, post it on social media so we know how you feel.

As an active, it goes the other way too tbh. I always follow back every pnm that follows me because I want to be nice and see what they’re like, and I remember what it felt like to be a pnm and have actives in ~certain~ houses act like they’re better than me. But it’s REALLY also off-putting if I follow a pnm and they don’t follow back. It’s like some of y’all think you’re too good for me or my house which also comes across as rude. Especially when you can just unfollow after rush if you end up going a different house than mine

It goes both ways. Can’t tell you how many pnms I’ve followed and they haven’t followed back. Complete turn off. Girl if you’re in my hometown and don’t follow back opps sorry you’re probably getting dropped stop acting like you’re too good. (And not that it really matters but I am in a upper tier house too).

I would literally NEVER not follow an active back regardless of the house or who it is

lol i’m sorry but as an active i don’t like to follow pnms idk and if i do then it’s bc i think you’re cool and more of “my kind of person” rather than necessarily my sorority’s type. tho i’m representative of my sorority, i don’t have to follow back every person who has Bama 24 in their bio. Like how did some of y’all even find me ? I’m not even posted or tagged on my sorority page ig pics, i’m private and just have letters in my bio lol.
i personally think actives and sorority ig accounts should not be following pnms at all. it makes them think they’re gonna get bids from all those houses when there isn’t even a correlation :/ a lot of these sororities are doing this too just so you want them. it’s just not that deep. ik as a pnm all you think about is rush but as an active i am just trying to avoid having to rush lol 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think if an active isn’t on private and a pnm follows, the active should follow back. If an active chooses to only add/accept people they know, then they should be on private and decline pnm requests (instead of just accepting them as a follower and not reciprocating.)
