what does it mean when you follow actives and they don’t follow you back? they’re not interested in getting to know you?

I think tri delt and chi o have been the best at following back for me out of all of them, but you’re definitely right with kappa and phi mu. It could also be that each sorority is looking for different kinds of girls

Replying here so it’ll be seen. I don’t think it’s rude at all. I’m an active and I only follow people I know in real life. If a PNM follows me on my personal account and we’ve never met IRL, I’m not going to follow back. Personal account = personal decisions = not representative of the whole sorority. They didn’t ask you to follow them, they don’t owe you anything. Most sororities vote by hometown, if you’re not from their hometown and they aren’t voting on you, why would they care, especially if they don’t know you the slightest and your instas private.

I get what you mean and that’s true but if you want a girl to feel welcomed and excited about your house that’s a big turn off. But if you don’t care about her as a pnm then I understand, I think girls here are just saying it’s like hurtful/upsetting

i have noticed this so much as a pnm and it honestly makes the house so much less desirable... not like anyone is obligated to follow back, but it comes across so unwelcoming

i follow a bunch of girls from certain houses and most follow back, some don’t. for those handful that act like they’re too good, i KNOW those girls that didn’t will be shocked when i end up in their house even though i wasn’t worthy enough on insta... SMH

I’ve notice most of the girls in the old row houses and some new row don’t follow me back or accept my follow request but they accept or follow back other pnm’s. Which makes me feel unwanted by those houses.
