Nah, the times haven’t changed. The OR top girls are the ones who have a lake house nearby, the ones who have box seatings in the games, the ones who have family members on the board of trustees, they’re more likely to stay an active member all four years and become a good alumna. True, they’re not more quality of a person, but they are better in that they have more to offer to the sorority. They likely have parents willing to donate money to the sorority, and they can help other members with connections and other things. This is just the way it is. Out of state girls get upset but it’s just the way it is, any in state student at any other state school is more acclimated to the environment than an out of state student.

OR is better. When’s the last time you saw an OR house COB, saw a girl crying Bc she got an OR house on bid day?

I’m OR because I thought that was the only acceptable place to be ( because of my family and hometowns perspective). Not true and once you are on the other side, you will see. I’d rather be ZTA, AOPI, PI PHI, DG, or DZ than AXO KD or AGD ( these three have so many snobby/holier than thou people) any day.

I’d say top for partiers: KKG ZTA DDD PI PHI AOPI
top for less wild girls: PM XO ADPI DG DZ SK ( putting SK on here because their pc was very cute and think they will pass other houses once they build).

Roughly 60% of Alabama students are out of state so all of the perks that you say make OR better don’t really matter to the majority of the Alabama students. As previous poster said OR has their top girls and NR has theirs. Alabama girls are not superior to oos girls. They value different things which is fine. If you are from Alabama and plan to stay in Alabama forever great shoot for old row but if that is not your plan go with your gut and choose the house that is right for you regardless of row or tier.

I know PLENTY of girls who preffed an old row house and a new row house and chose the new row one. It’s not unheard of. Y’all are so worried because there’s a few new row houses that are simply more desired than y’all now. Grow up
