Family in greek life

I have a cousin who was in a house that is at Alabama but was in a chapter at a different school (very large greek life) I’m thinking of having her write my rec letter since she knows me personally. Will that be better for me than having a random alum do it? Would that possibly help me stand out to that chapter even if I’m not a legacy?

Idek about having you stand out but it’d be a lot easier to get her to do it then asking a stranger to...not sure why this is even a question tbh

If you are asking if it will have any more pull the answer is no. Unless it’s an in house cousin the rec will be no different than any other. As far is should you ask her ...yes why wouldn’t you.
