Just Generally Good House

by: Good Houses

The ranking system isn’t even reflective of how people view greek life in bama, the houses that everyone considers good in no order are: xo, axo, pm, ddd, agd, zta, adpi, pi phi, kappa, kd
(These are the more selective houses during recruitment, getting a bid from any of these houses is good)

Because we are tired of Adpi’s campaign for legitimacy. Use another tactic to compensate for last years rush like say.... doing a good job in rush

GPhi they always clinch on ranks. Think of them as the girl that just would do anything hang around hot girls or chill popular ones. Sad part is even if she hung around them she was always the girl whose name people forgot.

no house has given a snap bid in years but yes zeta, pi phi, and maybe adpi (not sure) have done cob recently and you can check they grade reports for proof. I personally do not a house should be considered top tier if they have to cob- that means they have retention rate issues and maybe should focus on that before they claim they are top.

ehhhhh. chapters cob for different reasons. yes retention is definitely an issue in a few (for example Alpha Phi constantly does COB throughout the WHOLE YEAR, which could lead many to believe that members are constantly dropping and that it’s not the best sisterhood), but others have advisors/an alumnae base that motivates them to cob due to seniors graduating in december, members transferring back to school instate (makes sense that NR houses who take more OOS members have this happen more often), and some houses simply want to catch some girls who they know from first semester that decide they want to rush. Houses like Zeta and Pi Phi (not sure about ADPi) have a COB event that is invite only and they usually only end up COB’ing 5 girls or so (some are cheerleaders, are already involved on campus because they have already been through at least a semester of college, and some are just neutral friends). I don’t totally disagree with your point, but I do think COB is made to look worse than it actually is. It’s all about that money 😬 more members/keeping up the amount of total members in the whole house = more money. Some advisors (that I personally know of) even use this as a strategy to reduce dues for the actives already in the house.

while I agree to an extent with your point houses that take more out of state girls (mostly new row) have more girls transfer back home and that may explain some of it, but I do disagree that is the reason they have to cob. if you look, houses like DG, ADPI, AOPI, and PiPhi all did not cob last year. They are predominately all out of state so I do think zeta has a sisterhood problem. explain why all of those houses have not had to cob, but zeta has for years.
