we obviously know everyone has had a pretty boring summer so we will try to ask other questions. But if you do get asked what you did for summer talk about a hobby you started (painting, designing clothes, photography, baking, working out, training a pet). Think about the little things that you can talk about and expand on those.

I didn’t need too I just did bc we couldn’t travel this summer and it was a family friends boutique so why not get some experience and extra cash instead of sitting in my room the whole summer

It depends. Houses that want genuine girls won’t see it as a bad thing, it’ll show them you’re responsible and willing to work and earn your own way and they won’t penalize you for it at all. Superficial houses that want you to be rich and use daddy’s money to get by will see it as a bad thing because most of them have never worked a day in their life. So it depends on which house you’re talking to.

I worked this summer just for fun bc nothing else to do but I didn’t mention it on my resume just in case girls are mean about it

i’m in a top ranked house (i hate that i have to say that but) i worked all of high school at a boutique, had it on my resume, and talked about it during rush & had zero problems at all, great convo starter because a lot of us work at the boutiques in ttown :)

^ok true let me rephrase. If you did something cute/glamorous sounding like working at a boutique then most houses probably won’t care. But if you were a waitress or worked in a grocery store or something, you’ll get some judgmental looks/responses from girls in certain houses when you mention it. Speaking from experience
