What exactly is COB and snap bids
by: PnmWhat exactly is COB and what are snap bids, how do you get them and why?

COB stands for continuous open bidding and it is also known as informal recruitment. Can happen after formal rush or spring. A chapter will either have public events for it or it is usually just invite only. I wouldn’t bank on it but it really is more chill but not the same experience.
Snap bids are bids given out after the bid matching process and before bid day during formal recruitment. Snap bids are given out by chapters who Alsace not met quota after the bid matching process (AKA not enough girls picked them after pref). Snap bids are given to women who participated in formal recruitment but did not finish the process (they dropped out). If a chapter cut you during formal recruitment, it is not likely they will extend you a snap bid.

Women who receive snap bids will get a phone call or email about prior to bid day activities. They can sign their bid card and go participate in bid day and no one will know they were a snap except panhel, the chapter’s exec team, and the girl who got her snap bid.
