by: pls answerok what is the deal with alpha phi? is it truly as horrible as people on here make it seem. I can honestly say that it’s in my top 5 houses i’d like to be in but it gets so much hate on here which makes me feel bad. is there something bad i’m not noticing about them? i truly am interested in the sorority because i like the philanthropy and they look like they have a good sisterhood but who even knows anymore. alpha phi is arguably one of the most popular sororities nationally, and definitely has that stereotype surrounding it but i feel like the reputation it has at alabama does not match its reputation elsewhere. (for example: university of arizona alpha phi is their top and most sought after house) someone lmk i’m curious why it’s so frowned upon and why people on here say the only people on campus that like alpha phi are alpha phi girls....

My dad went to another school but they said they all used to call them “All for Free” and THATS my favorite.

Do your own research regarding how they go about recruitment per their Nationals. This was a large nationwide story last year. They were exposed by a member at the University of Michigan who couldn’t stand it anymore and decided to say something. Of course I’m sure they have tried to clean everything up off the internet by now but they cannot deny it because this girl had the recruitment guidelines straight from their national office. There was even an IG page devoted to it that I saw last year but that’s probably gone too. Heck, this posting itself will not be up for long do take a screen shot of it!

Alpha phi has just changed their legacy policies to not give preferential treatment to legacies in order to be more inclusive. has every other house done this? applauding all the ones who have

people say they’re on here self ranking and talking about how great they are yet ppl write all this and can’t keep their name out their mouthes. same goes for a few other houses that get consistently bashed

When they start giving non-preferential treatment to ALL girls who come through Rush, irrespective of whether their Nationals consider them to meet their offensive requirements for physical attractiveness, that is when I’ll stand and applaud them! Until then, they are as typical all-white and shallow as a sorority can be. In fact, they are the prototype.

The A Phis are the shallow ones my dear, and were rightfully exposed for it last year! Shallow and completely vapid for only recruiting girls who they think are “hot” enough to pass muster per National standards set by their HQ. Revolting. Good for the one girl who couldn’t stand it anymore and decided to say something about it!
Anyone who thinks that is the way it SHOULD be, well you deserve to surround yourself with the one-dimensional empty hollowness that is Alphi Phi. Party on and pray for an inheritance of some kind because you will need once college is over.

I see you on here a lot hating on alpha phi. That wasn’t my target audience and I wasn’t there’s. But, does it make you feel better? Bc although you’re a kappa, you’re put in the corner. You probably feel left out a lot and take it out on here. Who knows maybe you’d fit in better at alpha phi, but probably not because you always call them pretty. I hope your life gets better. Hope you get your dream job within the next couple of years. Don’t post too much;)
