question for girls in “bottom” houses

by:

what is it like to be in a house that’s considered “bottom” or like lower mid tier? just want to get some perspective on how you feel, if you love it, if you wish you were in a diff house, how other girls in other houses make you feel, etc.

Love my house, best decision I ever made, love my sisters, dating a guy in a "top" house for over a year, and don't gaf what anyone else thinks.

Honestly I love my house and idrc what anyone thinks. It does sting when you go out and meet girls and they ask what house you’re in and you say “xyz” and then they go “oh...” which is then normally followed by a “you’re too pretty to be a xyz.” Like...it’s not a bad thing to be in a “bottom” house unless someone else tries to paint it that way. We had more swaps than some “top” houses and I’ve never had a problem w guys liking me any less bc of my house.

Just like two comments above when people would ask what house & I would say it they would be like oh or you’re too pretty to be in that house it kinda sucked but honestly after the first year when I stopped caring ab ranks I really didn’t care because I love my pledge class, my family and I have made some great bestfriends here that I wouldn’t trade for the world & are actually going to be my bridesmaids (ik it’s super cliche but it’s true haha) also my house has been improving since my pledge class it used to be considered definitely bottom but now it’s considered lower middle

Ranks only matter freshman year, and arguably only first semester. If you still act like you’re better than other girls bc you’re in a “top house” when you’re a senior??? Good luck Charlie.

I was extremely self conscious about it freshman year and then I pretty much got over it. There are a few downsides, like our swap schedule is a little limited and a lot of PNMs are rude during rush. Also people don’t support our philanthropy as much as other houses. But I do feel like the older you get the less it matters.
