This year is going to be the worst, let me explain

Recruitment:
1. Quailty/good fit members are going to slip through the cracks and the opposite are going to get bids they never deserved. Being physically around people is the only real way to get really vibe with someone.
2. SDT joining formal is beyond stupid. They cant accommodate a full pledge class, girls will to drop or suicide, they wont cut ANYONE
3. PCs in general arent going to mesh well. During sisterhood and pref, I definitely feelings based on who I was I was around
4. COB is going to be the wild west
5. Dirty rushing is already out of hand

In General
1. PCs won't get the same experiences to even become close or know older sisters, this will lead to dropping
2. Dues aren't going to really be worth it. Think of all the things they pay for that we aren't going to get to do
3. Assuming everything is truly back to normal rush 21 is going to be insane one way or the other. Best case it's very competitive. Worst case I don't even know yet

(1) no one will slip through the cracks. Chapters need the membership numbers to keep dues steady and not have to COB. now, there may be more girls who get bids that are undeserving but I don’t think this will affect deserving girls.

(2) SDT joining recruitment is not stupid. They’re an NPC sorority and have the right to participate. From what I’ve heard they’re not going to take as big of a pc as everyone else - more so they’re going to have their own quota.

(3) I am in a summer class that meets every day on zoom. I have never met these people before and our only interaction with one another has been on Zoom - and I can tell you who I would and wouldn’t get along with in person. It will all be fine. Also, people keep forgetting, PNMs won’t be making all the decisions, a lot of PNMs will have decisions and cuts made for them.

(4) I agree. Many chapters who usually don’t COB will be COBing this year. It will be a fighter over the top girls going through COB.

(5) agreed. So sad.

General
(1) maybe but I still believe PCs will bond over this unique experience and chapters will still have events and bonding experiences in some capacity.

(2) not true. The largest fees for dues are the meal plan (houses are still planning on serving meals) and paying for the house (members will still be in the houses). Social events is actually a small part of dues

(3) agreed. 2021 will be insanity and competitive. This is a great year for PNMs to have the chance to get into a house they want
