why is it so hard to get kappa

why do you basically have no chance at kappa unless they decide to rush u way before rush. that makes me sad bc kappa is so good nationally and i rlly like their vibe but if they don’t want you, you don’t have a chance. :(

they are. that’s why they lack the diversity factor and why they are becoming less popular among pnms and across campus. to be honest I always see rankings on here ranking them as a top house (because of tradition and the OR thing let’s be honest) but if you actually attend alabama and are on campus many people don’t look at them as a top house imo.

They’re not as chill and laid back as you might think. They only want girls from Mobile, Mtn Brook and New Orleans. They only want girls they know. If you don’t fit that mold, legacy or not you’re not getting a bid.

I don’t think this is particularly true. I’m from far OOS (north) and wasn’t a legacy and didn’t have many connections with kappas (was actually a legacy for another house) and they didn’t rush me at all before recruitment and I had them until sisterhood ! Don’t worry :)

My cousin was a kappa at UNC, does that count for anything? She really inspired me and I’d love to be in the same sorority she is in.

If you understand their Natl rep and how they like to stick to brand why get upset now? Stop trying to force yourself into what you think it means to be a great Greek.
