what is important in rush this year?
by: hmm
In my opinion, I think rush is going to be soo different bc the lack of face to face until the end of rush...so naturally I feel like things are gonna be judged a little bit differently. Here's what I think is gonna be important:
1. Social Media: When you sign up for rush and put in your insta/follow a sorority's official insta, actives immediately look at it. Looking for clean social medial, cute and not too much. Avoid anything your mom wouldn't want u to post. Keep it classy ladies. Highly recommend starting to filter your photos and getting a cute feed. This is really the only way we will see you until philanthropy round.
2. Grades: While I think that everyone will be a smidgeeee nicer on grades, making sure your grades are good or at least showed a steady amount of progress is important. If not, make sure you emphasize to the house that you want to do better grade wise in college than you did in high school.
3. Resume: We really don't know how involved you are outside your resume because we don't talk to you until philanthropy, so make sure to include it. Be proud and show off your accomplishments.
4. Rec Letters: Debatable, but when it comes to dropping, I think a lack of a rec letter will harm you more now than it did in years past because yet again: we don't really get to meet you until philanthropy.
5. Neutrality: I think this is so important this year, because trust me IT GOES NOTICED IF YOU SEEM ONLY INTERESTED IN SELECT HOUSES. Follow all 17 houses!! Don't just comment on zeta/alpha phi/phi mu/kkg/alpha chi posts!! Comment on either every houses posts, or no ones.
6. Keeping it classy: Stay out of groupme drama. It's pointless and dumb. Sometimes it gets through the grapevine. Just be nice to each other :)
7. Excitement: This seems dumb, but in those videos if nothing else put on a smile and seem excited about rush and that you're looking forward to it!!

Also, don't lie about stuff. We find out by either word of mouth, transcripts, or when you're asked about it and blank on what to say. It's okay to not have a 4.0 or ten vacation homes; be real. You'll have a much better time in Greek life if you're honest and end up where you're supposed to than lie and end up somewhere you don't fit in.

Why would you even bring her into this? This wasn’t about her. Let the sororities decide whether to bid her or not, it really isn’t your business and it’s not cute to keep bashing her
