will i even be called back to any houses if i have a 2.8 hs gpa? i went through some stuff in freshmen and sophomore year of highschool but did got all A/B for junior and senior year

Unfortunately, your options will be extremely limited if you don’t get cut from the process as a whole :( Get good grades as a freshman and rush sophomore year!!!!

honestly if you were involved youll be limited but if u maximize your options youll get a bid somewhere. but if you dont like the houses youre limited to just get good grades first sem you could rush in the spring or next fall

This was me so I waited until sophomore year. My hs gpa was around the same as urs so everyone told me wait and do well freshman year. College gpa turned out really good so maybe do tht!

Besides concentrating on your grades, you need to join one or two campus orgs/activities and do some volunteer work too. Not only does it make you more attractive to the chapters, but you have the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life. A bonus-some of the people you will meet will be in sororities, and that might help it work out for your when you rush sophomore year.
