why do people say

They didn’t get a lot of “top PNMs” like they used to. They also used to be the top “looks” house, but their last two PCs don’t fit that trend as well. A lot more girls this year chose to go, ZTA, AGD, AXO, and KKG that would have traditionally gone PM.

Phi Mu is still a great house here. In my opinion they used to be a lot more popular than they are now. AXO, Alpha Gam, Tri Delt, and even KD ranked higher on the greek grade report. So they aren’t considered “top” in grades and after looking at the past two PC’s I think Zeta has taken over as the looks house. Phi Mu lost a lot of “top” pnms who were looking for a grade/involvement focused house to houses like AXO and AGD and then some “top” OOS pnms who were looking for more the looks focused house chose Zeta over Phi Mu. In no way am I trying to say Phi Mu isn’t a great house here or that any of these houses are better options. I’m just describing the general trend that was seen during rush last year.

Comment #2 is spot on. But I also agree with the responses that it’s okay to say Phi Mu isn’t a top house anymore. Phi Mu is simply not a top house here anymore. Sorry.

Phi Mu is not a top house anymore. Two years of sub-par pledge classes. That’s 50% of their house. And about to be 75% if they can’t turn things around with this next one.

Phi Mu is still a good house, but not top (as the other responses have claimed as well). As mentioned in a previous thread I think they are on the same level/tier as KD, Kappa, and Zeta now (with AXO, AGD, XO, and Tri Delt) as your top houses based on grades and pnm desirability.

As a pnm I have a question, which other sorority is Phi Mu most similar too? and how?

Respectfully disagree with the negative recruiters here. PM won Most Outstanding Sorority this year. A shift in focus doesn’t make them less of a house, just different than the boxes you’re trying to use to make them look bad.
