legacy status at Bama
by: alumI'm an alum from another Southern school and I'm wondering how legacies are treated at Alabama, particularly by the so called "top tier" sororities. For example, if the girl is not an Alabama legacy, but a legacy nonetheless, will she receive any special consideration from her legacy houses?

Every house pledges legacies, both chapter and other chapters. Every house drops legacies and every house steals legacies. Legacy status will not automatically get you a bid. You need additional factors such as GPA, involvement, etc. Looks matter for some and not for others, especially if you bring $$$ to the table. With two rounds being virtual I think legacy status will matter more this year than in recent years, legacies should hold on to their legacy houses longer.

I disagree. Recruitment is going to be affected by virtual recruitment, how much is to be seen. More legacies will hold on to their legacy house and more houses will hold on to their legacies due to this unknown.
