Will the big 3 (DKE, SAE, KA), give a bid to a yankee? If so, what does it take to get one?

Totally skip KA, DKE (not worth your time unless you are small town Alabama) check out SAE , Sigma Nu, Phi Gam (old row) and check out Theta Chi, Pike and Signa Chi (new row). Promise, you will be happy with any of these six fraternities. Giod luck to you!!!

I only considered one fraternity when I cane to Bama. I was a legacy and I knew what I wanted to be and couldn't be happier with my choice. I do recommend all freshmen check out a few fraternities to see where you fit in best. If I were a freshmen next year I'd check out the following:

SAE (good rep & parties)
Sigma Nu (nice house & pretty conservative )
Phi Gam (nice house, laid back)
Theta Chi (great parties)
pike (newest house & great parties)
Sigma Chi (new house next year, chill)

What does it take to get a bid from those 6 fraternities? What all do they consider when giving out bids?

Are not doing the rushees any favors by telling them not to rush certain houses. Dke and ka are two houses they should damn straight check out. Just because you hate them doesn,t mean that the rushee will. Or is that why you are saying it,Just sayin

Them at all but it's a known fact that if you are not from a small Alabama town like Mobile don't bother w DKE or KA! Not hating, just being realistic, that's all.

There's a good chance Pike might not be on campus next year. Just a heads up to anyone looking into it.
