fraternity comments

I am not the goatherder but yes, I do have an old row bias.I am proud to be in a strong old row fraternity. Obviously.I give Sigma Chi a pass because I like them. Glad as hell I pledged where I did but I have always liked the Sigma Chis. Plain and simple.

When my younger cousin goes through rush next spring I would recommend to him DKE,SAE or KA. Maybe Phi Gam. If those houses don't work out for him i would recommend Sigma Chi or Theta Chi. Adios. We're gonna have a great fall. Looking forward to it! RTR!!!!

Your cousin is lucky he has someone to look out for him. If he is a good guy, then your DKEs are lucky too. If he is an a-hole then the old row haters have a point that pledging the cousins, or Mobile school mates or whatever pretty much erases any membership differences over time between old and new row, and based on EN the past 2 years, actually makes the old row houses have suckier membership

Funny how we look at the same thing and see it differently. I don't just THINK that we take our choice of rushees, I know we do. Does have old row have to "swallow" a few legacies that wouldn't have received bids if they weren't? Sure. I mean a few. The rest(Imean 40 or so) we GENERALLY get the pick of the litter. The only advantage new row has is that we fill up and you can get more quality non-Bama residents near the end. Since I've been here we have had a lack of slots left available.

The weaker old row houses are not taking just a few legacies, they are stock full of kids from the same high schools, and it's obvious within 1 minute how many of their brothers are nowhere near elite. The must be from 'Bama bias will swallow up Old Row. The non-Alabama kids are driving up the school's academic ranking, and a lot of these scholarship kids are of a far higher quality than many of the in-state mediocres. The "pride" of old row in not looking at this new talent is opposite of the teachings of their fraternities. Worse yet, it will lead to their undoing as they stick with a less talented pool of locals.

How do they compare with the "weaker new row houses"?

wait so you're saying ATO and Lambda chi got massively downranked and Sigma Nu selfranked their way up and it was all Sigma Chi that did it? This site is ridiculous haha

or should I say "ha ha", the slow witted Sigma Nu.

I think the accusation is that Pike or EN (also saw speculation of Theta Chi and Trojan Horse SAE) cheated LXA & ATO and that Sigma Chi was a beneficiary. Then the comment was that EN got artificially propped up by the gimmick but that over time (1 week) EN ended up back down in the ratings, because, EN deserved low ranking.
