RUSH GUIDE AND TERMS FOR PNMS
by: Helpful
Old row: AXO, AGD, XO, KD, KKG, DDD, PM
New row: ZTA, Pi Phi, ADPi, AOPi, DG, DZ, G Phi, SK, KAT
The Holy Trinity: AXO, AGD, XO
(these houses are known for being religious girls with good grades. Hence, they are apart of the “holy trinity” or “the trinity.”
First Circle: KD, DDD, AGD
(These were the first sororities to have houses on campus. Hence, they were built on the “first circle.” Sororities used to be built on culdesacs so these were on first one. It used to mean more than it does now. I think they have a semi together and have a swap with the 3 oldest frats every few years, but it’s not emphasized like Old Row.
Houses known for emphasizing academics and involvement: AGD, AXO, XO, DG, DDD, and to some degree ADPi, AOPi, Pi Phi
Houses known for emphasizing looks and appearances: Phi Mu, ZTA, A Phi and to some degree AGD (have a lot of pageant girls) and Pi Phi (have a lot of trendy girls and “influencers”)
Houses known for emphasizing partying:
KKG, KD, ZTA, A Phi, DDD, PM, DZ, G Phi, KAT, Pi Phi (All of the sororities def party, but these sororities might promote it more)
All of the houses have pretty, smart, involved, and fun members! This is just my general opinion as a girl from AL in a sorority. There are probably a few houses and categories that I left off. Feel free to add your info below.
Snap bids: when a sorority doesn’t meet quota with their bid list, they give out snap bids to reach quota on bid day. PNMs are eligible for snap bids if they dropped out or got cut from rush before pref.
Ninja: a PNM who is probably not very known before or during rush by house, but “sneaks” on to the bid list. It means the sorority probably liked her enough to put her near the bottom of the bid list and she got in.
COB: when sororities don’t maintain or reach quota, they can do COB. It’s not a part of fall recruitment. They can informally give girls who didn’t rush or dropped out of rush bids through Panhellenic.

It's not really a thing but exaggerated by some to be critical of those houses.
