by: ??i honestly don’t know if this has any relation to rush. but my mom is in many parent facebook group for incoming bama student parents and in one of the chats parents are referring to their kids as “DS, DD, DR”.... what do these mean 😂😂

Wow, simmer down. A lot of parents use it more so as a quick abbreviation to shorten typing instead of what it actually stands for. I highly doubt when you type “lol” you’re actually laughing out loud, parents use DD/ DS in the same way.

also, what do u mean “don’t pretend to be a student” i am an incoming freshman and wasn’t aware of the terms and my mom said she thought she read them in a group for parents with girls rushing and i didn’t know what it meant.... so i asked, as an 18 year old STUDENT. 😂😂😂 people on here need to stop being so condescending. what is so hard for u people to believe everytime people that are incoming freshman coming on here asking questions about stuff that u automatically assume we’re not who we say we are and that were older. news flash, i am a freshman and idk why it matters to u. just answer my question without talking to me like that, acting like i’m a parent. yikes 😂😂😊😊😗😗

i was actually wondering the same thing because i saw it somewhere in a group and didn’t know what it meant either. are we supposed to all know what this means? because i didn’t and i’m also a student?

she made it clear that the only reason she asked was because her mom read it in a group and was asking if she knew wht it meant. also why do u care? “as a student it doesn’t matter to you” my ASS. if she wants to know, she can know it’s not like it’s sacred information ONLY for parents. wtf do u all think this is

um i actually am a student. i am from far OOR and not aware of whatever weird slang terms people refer to their kids as, and my mom asked me and i thought i remembered reading it somewhere a while back on here so i posted to ask. my mom would NEVER refer to me as her “darling OR dead daughter” in a facebook group w a bunch of strangers. tbh i’d be embarrassed if she made a post on there saying that. now that i know what it means, i think it’s pretty strange anyone would refer to their kids as that. can i ask why that’s necessary at all?
