Getting dropped bc of family members
by: pnm:):)I saw a post about how if you’ve “gone out” with girls from other sororities you’re most likely being dropped from all other sororities. My sibling is a current member of a sorority at Alabama and just because she’s a member of a sorority and I’ve visited her and met her sorority sisters DOES NOT mean i want to be in her sorority. I’m giving all sororities a fair shot during rush.... how do current members feel about this??

In this situation it’ll matter less that you visited and more that you’re an in house legacy with a sitting sister. If your sister is in a top/upper middle house, other houses will for sure drop you for that reason. If your sister is in a lower house it kind of depends.
It’s always good to make it clear to houses that you have an older sister in a house but you’re keeping an open mind.

tbh no one talks abt how FUN it is to steal someone else’s sister from their house, especially if it’s a house your srat competes with for PNMs lol. in my house if we think the girl’s personality is suited for our house we’ll go for her as long as she expresses interest and is open minded. houses usually consider active’s sisters secured in the bid list so it’s a blow if you lose them to another house !

if you get dropped by everyone but ur sister’s house despite expressing interest and being open, it’s bc the other houses genuinely think you would be a better fit in your sister’s house.
