Who is most involved in their philanthropy
by: MostHi!!! I just wanted to know what house is most involved in their philanthropy. I want to join a house who very involved.

This is a tough question to answer. Some houses have philanthropies that are hard to be involved/ hands on with. For example, AXO’s philanthropy is domestic violence awareness - but it is hard to be hands on with domestic violence and abuse victims so they most likely just do a lot of fund raising. KD’s is prevent child abuse America and child abuse prevention services, but as with AXO that’s not exactly something you can be hands on with - which is why KD interacts with the Girl Scouts and the crossing points program at UA.
AGD does the fifth quarter meal packing after football games, DDD does make visits to St. Jude’s, XO hosts parties for make a wish children, Kappa has book buddies at local schools, ZTA is very active in breast cancer awareness and education (I feel like they have several events throughout the year).
Most chapters do a lot of fund raising and little hands on interaction, but I would say I never hear much about DZ philanthropy events, Theta philanthropy events, and AOII philanthropy events. I feel like these chapters are LEAST involved with their philanthropy.

Just because you never hear about them doesn’t mean they aren’t involved. I’m in one of the houses you mentioned, and we have several awareness/fundraising weeks throughout the year along with our 3/4 main philanthropy events where we raise thousands of dollars for our philanthropy. I’d say we’re very involved, especially since there’s girls in our chapter who are personally affected by it. So please don’t spread false information

I’d say gphi is the least involved. I can think of at least one event those 3 houses do off the top of my head (dz Mac and cheesy, crawfish for casa, and strikeout arthritis) and they definitely do even more. But I couldn’t tell you a single gphi event, and I know girls in it who say they wish they were more involved in it

Gphi here is actually the highest fundraising chapter out of all gphi chapters, it’s just hard to be involved with in person since the nearest Girls on the Run chapter is in Birmingham. The freshmen and sophomores are required to volunteer at the races in bham every year and they do at least 2 major philanthropy events.
I think it’s kind of silly to say that any sorority at Alabama could somehow not be involved in their philanthropy, like any nationals would just be ok with that.

Tri Delt is most involved but they were responsible for a huge syphilis outbreak on campus this past year. The worst part is that some sisters even passed it on to each other
