OOS Girl Rushing
by: oosIs it completely out of the question for an out of state girl with really good grades, letters of rec and a good personality getting into a top or upper mid tier house? I know no one at Bama but really want to rush/be apart of greek life. Are there any houses known for taking oos girls?

my house (old row) is about 50/50 between instate and out of state for each pledge class

Did you have connections in the sororities? Will it hurts that I’m from the North/not Southern and no absolutely no one?

That will hurt you for certain houses but doesn’t make it impossible to get a bid, it just might not be from your first choice house

I’m from PA and I’m in an OR “top” house and know a good amount of other girls from the north in my house. I’m not a legacy at my house and didn’t know anyone before going to bama. Honestly just go in open minded and be yourself, don’t worry about getting in a “top” house, all houses are good.
