Plus size rushing?

by:

I’m wondering what the chances are of getting a bid if I’m plus size? I have a 3.5 GPA, some recs, and I’m from OOS. Most sorority vids I’ve seen on yt are super skinny girls. Should I not even bother?

Every sorority has plus size girls ( maybe minus zeta and alpha phi as they are more focused on a certain image, not trying to throw shade) but do not knock yourself down I’m sure you’re beautiful inside and out. Don’t sell yourself short

Wrong, A Phi has a plus sized girl with gigantic bazookas.

I know exactly who you’re talking about. It’s like an explosion when you look at her chest lmao

don’t let your size make you insecure, just let your personality shine and you will find where you are meant to be!

If a girl gets cut by a sorority because of her size, then be glad. Because if they are that shallow, you don't want to be there anyway. Truly.

Be your confident and beautiful self and know that any chapter would be lucky to get you!

Number one thing I regret about rush is not losing weight beforehand. I will not sugarcoat it, the bigger girls in most houses either had good connections or gained weight after rush. Bigger girls do get bids but they absolutely have fewer options. Honestly it makes me angry when people lie about this.

If OP (or anyone) is actually plus sized not just a little chubbier than the stereotypical slim sorority girl, there’s no way to healthily and successfully lose enough weight to conform to that supposed ideal by rush. Be yourself, be healthy for the sake of feeling your best and not losing as much weight as possible, and focus on other factors like having good skin and style and good conversations in rush

Try to get recs for each house.
