I don’t follow all the instas, honestly just because I followed all the ones that were easy to find and interested me, some of them I just couldn’t find right away. and some of them posted way too often, so I unfollowed because it got annoying. I don’t think the fact that I don’t follow all of them should hurt me in rush... do chapters really look at that? I think the insta that’s the weakest is kappa, but I’m still really interested in them because the girls I’ve met in kappa have been so nice.

If y’all don’t like the orange skin and bleach blonde hair instagrams, why are zeta and alpha phi the most followed? Genuinely confused, not hating, it just doesn’t add up haha

One thing that I have noticed about kd is that on the girls that they feature on the page, they usually have the city where the girl is from on the end in the caption and they are almost all instate. And that is fine, but I really don’t have any interest because of it and it kinda makes it clear the out of state girls are not wanted

The #1 thing I look at on a house's Instagram is if I feel like I could see myself standing there next to the girls in the pictures too! So far it's pretty clear to me that I would probably not fit in in Zeta Alpha phi, or Phi Mu. I don't wear makeup very often, I don't like to put heat on my hair, and I've never gone tanning or spray tanned. I just don't look anything like those girls! That's not meant to be an insult, I just feel like I would look and feel very out of place in those houses lol. So far the ones I could picture myself on the feed of are ADPi, AOPi, DG, DZ, AGD, XO, Sigma Kappa, Theta, and Kappa.

I love looking at the IGs because it tells me a lot about a house. I’m from out of state and don’t know anyone at Bama, so I’m looking for a sisterhood that is authentic, and not just a party house. I can tell that Zeta, APhi and Phi Mu would not be a good fit for me, so it is helping me get an idea of where I will likely be most comfortable so I can focus on getting more recs for those houses.

I. D.o.n.t really look at the follower count because who cares. Looking at the feed of zeta I just know I wouldn’t fit in. I’m not tan and don’t have super blonde hair. Phi mus girls sometimes makes me feel that if I were to join that house I would have to wear makeup everyday to fit in. I really like DZs DG, Tri Delt, and adpis insta because I feel like all of the photos of the girls are real. It doesn’t feel set up and I like how it’s always different people. Some of the other house post the same 10 girls which makes me think they don’t care about their other members or want to just put on a show about how pretty they are. Also when girls follow me I feel welcomed but know that just because they follow me it doesn’t mean they want me for rush because we aren’t in rush yet.
