Sorority rankings
by: PNMCan someone please tell me which srats are on which tiers and which are old and new row? Thanks!
#2by: tiers
Top tier is same as Old Row. Most selective houses: Alpha Chi, Tri Delt, Phi Mu, Chi O, Kappa, Alpha Gam, and KD
Middle tier is top of New Row. Not as selective as top tier houses in all areas: Zeta, Pi Phi, ADPi
The majority of the other houses move up and down within their tier depending on the year and nm class. Generally less selective: DG, APhi, AOPi, Gamma Phi, DZ, and Theta. Sigma Kappa is new.
All the houses have amazing girls, and the only people who worry about tiers, OR, and NR are the ones who are insecure about where they think their house is perceived to be. It's pointless if you are happy with where you matched.

All of this is no order within tiers cuz it’s up to preference
Old row:
Upper top - Phi mu, alpha chi & tri delt
Lower top- Chi o, Kkg, Kd & alpha gam
New row:
Upper middle- ZTA, pi phi, adpi & alpha phi
Lower middle- Gamma phi, dz, dg & aopi
Bottom- Theta, sigma kappa & sig delt

For grades, DG and AOII are always in the top 5, so clearly they are selective. Pi Phi and ADII fall in the middle because of grades and selection. ZTA is not a top choice for many girls anymore because of their changing identity issues. My roommate cut ZTA, ADII, and Chi O. It's personal for each girl. I definitely think ADII struggles with finding their type of girl. Not sure how Chi O moved back up so quickly. Small, unattractive house. Mostly Memphis and Mississippi girls (not very diverse), and racial issues in the recent past. Not a top house (IMO). I think for girls going through who are looking for sweet, smart, involved, humble, and pretty (inside and out) they tend to look at AXO, AGD, AOII, DDD, Chi O, and DG. Pageant girls are Phi Mu (no thanks). Party girls are KKG. Alabama girls only are KD. ADII and Pi Phi and a few others fall in there but with more issues with identity. I think Pi Phi wants to be the "looks" sorority, but Phi Mu won't let that happen, and we know what happened to Zeta and Alpha Phi when that was their mission.

OUTDATED POST. All of these responses are from literally 2020 and most are inaccurate at this current time. As of 2022 the sororities fall as follows:
Top tier: phi mu, Tri delt, kappa delta, alpha chi omega
Top middle: zeta, alpha gam, chi omega
Bottom middle: kkg, dz, gamma phi, dg, adpi
Bottom tier: aopi, sigma kappa, theta
Anyways find the place that you feel at home and the most invited, no one wants to feel somewhere they are out of place

Everyone knows aphi is not, have not, and probably will never even be middle tier. Their reputation is too bad to recover from, they only get the girls who got dropped from all of the even decent sororities. Unfortunate for their national chapter. (Non bias)
#9by: SORORITY ROW
The old row illusion is perpetuated by old alums and wannabes, past glory daydreamers. Most are ratchet faced thick thighed narcissists with delusions of grandeur who got dropped by prettier, more popular, more fun, better sisterhood, smarter, quiet old money ‘new’ sororities. Get over back pages in fiction.
